four times a year

npr inflicts its listeners to the pledge drive. it's right horrid: as i don't watch tv and cannot take the sensationalism bullshit of john montone et al on 1010 wins, i'm stuck. i can't very well iron to music in the morning, you know. i lost patience for npr's pledge drive when i gave money and then two months later got solicitations for both the station again and individual shows, in separate mailings. not an effective use of my money, says i...

while i can get through my own company just fine in the flophouse, i will now have to listen to the same five songs on plj or ktu at work, lest i listen to my coworkers go on about the ailments of their otherwise brilliant / gifted children, reality show updates, celebrity gossip, and sales at stores in the neighborhood. the good news: the high-walled cubes are coming more sooner than later. yay, bring on more beige goodness.

the weekend was lovely, didn't hit the any of the parties i noted this weekend, but took it easy. hit two different indian buffet brunches: that's enough to render a weekend a success. finally found a frame for a poster i got in iceland, but it weighs as much as i do. think i may need to find a lesbian who can hang art or reinforce walls or something.

and despite my entry from friday, i'm soooo getting my head shaved after work. i can't take the don king look anymore.
