great article, though i think this whole thing will go the way of y2k, but anyway... check out the ironic touch, i'm sure not planned, at the very end of the article.

next, think the government will tax key strokes, too? a q at 1/8 the rate of a space bar, for example, and to punish mistakes, the backspace and delete could be taxed at a premium... could you imagine?

four times a year

npr inflicts its listeners to the pledge drive. it's right horrid: as i don't watch tv and cannot take the sensationalism bullshit of john montone et al on 1010 wins, i'm stuck. i can't very well iron to music in the morning, you know. i lost patience for npr's pledge drive when i gave money and then two months later got solicitations for both the station again and individual shows, in separate mailings. not an effective use of my money, says i...

while i can get through my own company just fine in the flophouse, i will now have to listen to the same five songs on plj or ktu at work, lest i listen to my coworkers go on about the ailments of their otherwise brilliant / gifted children, reality show updates, celebrity gossip, and sales at stores in the neighborhood. the good news: the high-walled cubes are coming more sooner than later. yay, bring on more beige goodness.

the weekend was lovely, didn't hit the any of the parties i noted this weekend, but took it easy. hit two different indian buffet brunches: that's enough to render a weekend a success. finally found a frame for a poster i got in iceland, but it weighs as much as i do. think i may need to find a lesbian who can hang art or reinforce walls or something.

and despite my entry from friday, i'm soooo getting my head shaved after work. i can't take the don king look anymore.
